Ray Langenbach

Ray Langenbach, who was born in the United States and who splits his time between Kuala Lumpur and Helsinki, is an artist and teacher, and Star Foundation Professor of Creative Arts, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia. In addition to making work in the form of installations, moving image pieces, and performance, he writes on cultural theory, performance and queer culture. He has also curated events at the Kuala Lumpur Triennale, and served on the board of Performance Studies International. His works have been presented at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions, National Centre for the Arts Mumbai, Artspace Sydney, the Asia Pacific Triennale, the Gwangju Biennale, Malaysia National Art Gallery, Singapore Art Museum, National Gallery Singapore, the Kiasma Museum in Helsinki, the Future of Imagination Festival (Singapore), Asiatopia (Bangkok), La Cité, Paris, the Cattle Depot Artists Village in Hong Kong, and Park 19 Artist Village, Guangzhou, China.
